NdCAD Book Give-A-Way Program

“Reading sparks our imagination and can transport us to different places, times and even open up new worlds we never even knew were possible.”

- Bro. Sam Ramos

Research shows the more children read, the better readers they become. Our Book Give-A-Way Program provides free books to children ages 0-21, on a weekly basis. Every Saturday from 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m., parents or guardians bring children to our Family Education Center where each child selects books that they get to keep. Books are donated by caring members of the community.

The concept is simple, but the impact is significant. The program engages parents and children through the power of literacy – highlighting the importance of reading and learning together.

 Parent tips:

  • Read with your child at least 3 times a week

  • Make sure your child has a variety of reading materials at home

  • Talk about reading with your child

Visit us every Saturday and make free books a regular part of your weekend routine!

Note: Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

*Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, book donations have been temporarily suspended.

However, we are grateful to accept a financial donation, which will allow us to purchase books for the Book Give-A-Way Program.
