Sankofa Reading Program “A Promise for the Future”

The Sankofa Reading Program is an after-school and summer tutoring program. We serve scholars in grades K-8, helping them build reading confidence and equipping them for success in school and life. Our innovative approach focuses on helping scholars to make critical connections between reading and cultural identity development.

 

We don't teach the reading – we teach the reader!

The program teaches scholars to master reading skills and strategies that can be applied to any text, any time, for any purpose over a lifetime.
